PeachFest returns to downtown Atlanta on Sunday, July 29, and once again the FlatironCity (Fairlie-Poplar) will play host to the more than 600 attendees, 65 food artisans, pastry chefs and barkeeps who will collaborate on a memorable culinary event.

PeachFest was named after Georgia’s iconic state fruit and aims to celebrate the state’s agricultural diversity. All proceeds from the event benefit, Piggy Bank, a start-up farm in Missouri that serves as a kickstarter for new family farms and a safety net for those in the wake of a disaster (fire, flood, and disease). PeachFest also supports Concrete Jungle, an organization that will plant peach trees in Atlanta.

PeachFest 2018’s theme is “Georgia is our Home,” an initiative to combine responsible agriculture, culinary, and technology alongside delicious preparations of Georgia-grown peaches. Our goals include raising money for charity, celebrating Georgia grown peaches, blueberries, peanuts, heritage breed pigs and Vidalia onions while discovering a new Downtown culinary experience.

LOCATION

FlatironCity is the Official Host, located in the Fairlie-Poplar district of downtown Atlanta. The three-sided historic tower has been re-imagined as nextgen office space and incubator for start-ups. They are a perfect host to help build a street-level festival under the tree canopy on Broad Street. http://www.flatironcity.com

Broad Street NW and Poplar Street NW

I am pleased to support and welcome PeachFest to downtown Atlanta, I encourage both residents and visitors to attend this charitable event which will not only benefit local family farms, but provide educational resources to our community. Over the last seven years, our city’s downtown corridor has seen tremendous growth and investment and I look forward to having the festival in our city for years to come.
